Goodwood Park Hotel

The staff was perfect, they have been very supportive. We had two requests during our stay : to change the room and to have a late check out, and both have been fulfilled. Room was cleaned on daily basis with attention to the details. The location also happened to be great it is 5min walking from Orchard road, bus station nearby, metro not that far too. SgD 15 to almost every point in Singapore and SgD30 to the airport.

this is my second stay at The Goodwood. I love it’s a historical building, although it has a modern extension. it’s situation makes you feel you are in a peaceful oasis far away from the noise of Orchard Road. the pool is just a heavenly place to relax in. the rooms are spacious with plenty of storage and beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly and willing to help . I came to Singapore after a 13 hour flight with a terrible migraine, unfortunately. The counter staff were extremely helpful and ensured I didn’t need to wait too long for my room so I could sleep. can’t thank them enough. I love the personal touch that you cannot find in large high rise hotels.

The hotel is a heritage building and has its own special atmosphere which is important to know since it is different from modern style business hotels which sometimes come very formal and cool. So in many small details the building may seem old but these are the things that I like and which make it special. We had a Deluxe Mayfair room. The room is spacious with a relatively big bathroom. The glass front opens to a big balcony. There is a 65' TV screen where we did view the pictures taken during our holidays. The two pools are very nice and are suited to playing or swimming depending on your needs. The location of the hotel is superb next to the shopping malls in Orchard Road and for those who love local food for those Newton Circus hawker centre. If there is no heavy traffic it is a 30 min ride to the airport. The breakfast buffet offers a great variety of Western and Asian choices. The main breakfast room is a bit dark. Do not miss the high tea in the lobby in the afternoon! The staff is friendly and very helpful. All issues that came up during our stay could be resolved easily.

This is an excellent hotel with history and heritage located in the heart of the Orchard Road shopping area in Singapore. There is a good selection of restaurants, from Thai to Western to Japanese to Chinese Sichuan. I enjoyed my breakfast, served in the coffee lounge that offered a good selection of Western and local Singaporean dishes. Although the hotel is centrally located, there were no issues with noise during my stay.

We were staying for two nights on our way from Australia to the UK and arrived in the early hours of the morning, the team were quick to check us in and get us to our room which was just what we needed. Such a friendly welcome and so understanding of the traveller needs. Great service and a wonderful hotel.
